Day 4: Koh Pha Ngan

This was our first look at the blue waters of Thailand... WOW. Tropical. Everyone was on the island life style. We met up with a friend from high school Kathleen Mayor. Random. She is living in England and travelling with her brother who is currently in Korea.

We hung out at the beach and burnt. Went for a walk for food and beverages - burnt. We got a bit of sun to say the least.

Pad Thai (noodles and prawns) here was 40 baht - $1.30. I had two dinners. YUM. Thank you Jeff for the tip on BYOB. Big Beers at the store - $1, Big Beers at the restuarant- $4. They even opened the beer for us. Thai people are so nice.

At night we went to the not so famous Half Moon party. All four of us hopped in the back of a truck and headed into the jungle. Neon nights, pounding bass, and buckets of booze - very odd. Chelsea got some really cool face paint for the party. We tried about 6 different times to get a good picture of it but it just didn't work. The party wasn't really what we expected; thinking it was on the beach for starters. We headed home for some well deserved rest. It was pretty sweet hanging out with Kathleen and her brother - nice people. We may see them again in Phuket.
